The war in Ukraine fills us with the utmost concern and we are appalled by the human suffering of the Ukrainian people. As one of the most important granaries in the world, Ukraine contributes significantly to the nutrition of large parts of the world’s population. It is to be feared that this conflict will lead to further suffering due to crop failures.
The true-color satellite image we processed at the end of February shows that the winter crops have been sown as to the green areas west of Odessa. The dominant brown arable land visualizes the still uncultivated fields, which are intended for the cultivation of summer crops.
What effects will it have on the food situation if the winter crops cannot be fully harvested due to the war and the summer crops cannot be sown completely or possibly not at all?
In view of this situation, SBI offers at cost price to track the cultivation situation on a monthly basis and to analyze which yields can be expected for harvesting. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
